Who Are We?

Leduc Beach Volleyball League was new to the community in 2016 and run by the Ewashkiw family. Our family has started this organization to give back to the community and share our love for the sport of volleyball. Here is a little bit about ourselves.

Kelsey

I am 26 years old. I have been playing volleyball, both indoor and outdoor for over ten years. My big start to volleyball was Alberta Winter and Summer Games in 2010. Over the years I have played with Black Gold Volleyball Club here in Leduc as well as Red Deer Queens Club. After High School I played two years with the Red Deer College Queens. While at RDC, our team won both provincials and CCAA National Titles in 2014 and 2015.

Although many of my accomplishments have come from indoor, once the snow is gone, I am also an avid beach volleyball player. I love the game and look forward to sharing that love with all of you.

Trina & Tracy

We are 24 year old identical twins with nine years of volleyball experience in both indoor and beach. Over the years, we have been awarded numerous medals at both the Provincial and National level.  Our first taste of National level competition came at U14 where we won a gold medal in Vancouver.  Since then, we have medalled in provincials as well as a vast array of tournaments every year. Additionally, we participated in the 2012 and 2014 Alberta Summer Games. We were successful in taking home the gold in Airdrie 2014.  We spent two years in Vancouver playing for the Blues at Capilano University, receiving bronze at Pacwest Provincials in 2017. For the 2018-2019 school year, we transferred to The Kings University in Edmonton where we won ACAC provincials and received a silver medal at CCAA nationals. Tracy continued playing for The Kings University this season. Both of us have had fantastic coaching along the way, contributing greatly to our skill, knowledge and success in the game.

The three of us are looking forward to meeting all of you out on the sand.
